On the 8th of August 20 members of our Senior Group travelled to the Rouergue region in the South of France to represent Ireland at the 56th International Folklore Festival there. Our group took to the stage alongised 12 other countries each showing the dance, music and song from there own countries. Some of the other countries represented included South Korea, Gabon, Egypt, Equador, Chile, Peru, Russia and many more. Our girls did the class and Ireland proud getting a great reaction to all of their performances and receiving standing ovations and encores. The group now have many new friends around the world and are now looking forward to seeing what the coming year will bring.

New Term

Welcome back to you all. We hope eveyone has had a lovely summer and is looking forward to another wonderful year of dancing.
This terms classes commenced the first week of September and will run up to the Christmas holidays. There will be one week off for Mid Term break. (Oct. 28th – Nov. 6th)

Senior Trip 2011

We are pleased to announce that our Senior Group have been invited to take part in the 56th International Folklore Festival in Rouergue in the South of France in August. Our group of dancers and musicians are delighted to be heading off to France to take to the stage alongside 12 other countries which include India, Russia, Chile, Korea, Equador and Egypt.

Hungary and Slovakia 2010

The Senior group travelled to the Nógrad region of Hungary and Slovakia this year to represent Ireland at the 15th International Folk Festival there. The group left on July 27th and spent 8 days between the two countries. There were many performaces and parades throughout the festival with the highlight being the gala performance on the final night on the Water Stage. It really was Riverdance!!!!! Our group took to the stage alongside many other countries such as Paraguay, Georgia, Italy, Greece, etc. There are a few photos below to give a hint of the trip and of course there will be a display later in the year at our annual class feis.
We are already looking forward to next year, where ever it might take us!

Mini Munsters 2010

Congratulations to all of the dancers from the class who competed at the Mini Munster competitions in the South Court Hotel in Limerick in May. We had a great weekend with wins in both solo and team competitions. Between them the dancers brought home 32 tropies and 106 medals, a new record for the class!!! World Champhionships 2010!

Congratulations to Alex Blake (Boys under 15) and Niamh Spillane (Senior Ladies) who competed at the World Championships held in the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow during Easter week. They both danced very well and we were extremely proud of both of them!

All Ireland 2010

Well done to all of the dancers from the class who competed at the All Ireland Championships last week in the INEC, Kilarney. Everyone danced very well and did the class proud. Below are some pictures of the girls in action!
