Hungary and Slovakia 2010

The Senior group travelled to the Nógrad region of Hungary and Slovakia this year to represent Ireland at the 15th International Folk Festival there. The group left on July 27th and spent 8 days between the two countries. There were many performaces and parades throughout the festival with the highlight being the gala performance on the final night on the Water Stage. It really was Riverdance!!!!! Our group took to the stage alongside many other countries such as Paraguay, Georgia, Italy, Greece, etc. There are a few photos below to give a hint of the trip and of course there will be a display later in the year at our annual class feis.
We are already looking forward to next year, where ever it might take us!
