We are now entering the final term of the year. This term will run from the week of April 16th until the end of June. During this term we are looking forward to our class feis and presentations for grade examinations. More details of these events will be given in class.

World Champhionships 2012

We would like to wish Siobhán Murphy and Niamh Spillane the best of luck at the upcoming World Championships. Both girls achieved quailifying positions at the Munster Championships last November. They will travel to Belfast during Easter break to represent Munster in the Waterfront Hall.

London Feis

Last weekend, five dancers from the class travelled to the 25th Anniversary Kinsella Feis. There were almost 900 competitors taking part over the two days and our dancers did exceptionally well. They got first prize in all solo events in which they took part, and in the overall championships they placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 6th in their respective categories. We were very proud teachers at the feis!

All Ireland 2012

Well done to all of the dancers from the class who competed at the All Ireland Championships during the February mid-term in Citywest , Dublin. Everyone danced very well and did the class proud. A special well done to Chloe and Alex All Ireland medalists 2012. Below are photos of some of our dancers in action.

Feiseanna

Well done to all those from the class who have taken part at feiseanna during the first half of the year. Ye have done us proud so keep up the great work for the second half of the year.

France August 2011

On the 8th of August 20 members of our Senior Group travelled to the Rouergue region in the South of France to represent Ireland at the 56th International Folklore Festival there. Our group took to the stage alongised 12 other countries each showing the dance, music and song from there own countries. Some of the other countries represented included South Korea, Gabon, Egypt, Equador, Chile, Peru, Russia and many more. Our girls did the class and Ireland proud getting a great reaction to all of their performances and receiving standing ovations and encores. The group now have many new friends around the world and are now looking forward to seeing what the coming year will bring.
